Q: What is Shareware?

   A: The authors would like for you to try their programs before
   registration. Shareware is a "Try-Before-You-Buy" type of software. 
   Most shareware programs are available in forums. You can download a
   program from a forum on a trial basis to discover if it suits your
   needs. However, these are for demonstration purposes, and usually are
   not fully functional. If you find a program you like and want to
   receive an official copy, enter GO SWREG on the Information Service
   and follow the prompts.

   Shareware can also be found in the Shareware Forum (GO SHAREWARE).
   In that forum, you can use the FIND feature that enables you to
   search by Shareware topic.
